Mrs. Lilli Barrett's class is learning about Newton's laws this week. Newton's first law of motion, also known as the law of inertia was demonstrated in an egg drop experiment where a force is applied to a surface, causing it to move out from under a stationary egg. The egg, due to inertia, remains at rest for a fraction of a second until gravity pulls it down into a container, showcasing that an object at rest will stay at rest unless an unbalanced external force acts upon it.
