This is the view from one of the United Cajun Navy Search Helicopters. What you’re seeing is what they see. In this case, they spotted a large piece of beach debris. You can imagine the difficulty spotting something or someone small. But these team members have keen eyes and great cameras for zooming in. Boats were dispatched to identify and clear the debris, so there were no questions as to what we saw. In this case, a half sunk swim pad. This is why we use so many different tools and methods.
