The Hawaiian monk seal is a rare, endangered seal native to the Hawaiian Islands. It’s one of only two monk seal species left in the world. These seals are known for their round faces, big dark eyes, and silvery-grey coats. They spend most of their time lounging on beaches or hunting fish and squid in the ocean. Unfortunately, their population is threatened by habitat loss, entanglement in fishing gear, and lack of food. Conservation efforts are helping, but they remain one of the most endangere
