How to get bones, from an .fbx file?

Hi, so I recently made a rig, with no animations, but bones. I want to create the animations in Unity. I wanted to create the animations with this tutorial: . The fbx file doesn’t contain its own bones though, I can only make it into an avatar. I how can get the bones to be separate, from the fbx file?
